"What are you looking for there, why are you staying?!", Rama appeals to young Albanians who work in the tourism sector abroad: We have entered the Champions League

Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that our country has entered the Champions League in terms of competition in the tourism sector, but emphasized that "the cup must be consolidated".

"We have entered the Champions League, but we must remain in the Champions League, Italy, Greece, France, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia do not fall from the Champions League, they do not go to the UEFA Cup",  emphasized the head of the government.

Rama said that young people employed abroad in the tourism sector should return to Albania, adding that salaries in our country will be the highest in the region.

"What are you looking for there? Why are you staying there?” , Rama addressed the young people, emphasizing that  "the possibility of employment in tourism today is nothing, with the possibility of employment tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, taking into account how many investments are in approval processes from the requests of private enterprise, in Tirana, the coastline, and more widely when it comes to agro-tourism or high-level hotels."

Edi Rama:  We have entered the Champions League of competition in tourism and this is as much a historical moment as it is an all-round challenge. We have not consolidated our cup, we must consolidate it, but be more and more competitive every year. All young women and men who are abroad and work in the tourism sector, or go abroad to work in the tourism sector "what are you looking for there? Why are you staying there?” Today, all hotels have vacancies and a great need for qualified employees, and you, who are qualified employees, why do you leave this gap.

As I say to others who hear the salary story from conversations, try to go and knock on the doors of tourist infrastructure hotels and see if there are employment opportunities for them. But the possibility of employment in tourism today is nothing, with the possibility of employment tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, taking into account how many investments are in approval processes from the requests of private enterprise, in Tirana, the coastline, and even beyond when it comes to agro-tourism or high-end hotels.

All those investments need qualified people, the following years will show that Albania, thanks to this power it is getting from tourism, will have the capacity to pay qualified employees in the tourism industry without any difference from the countries of the region. It will have the best salaries in the region for qualified workers in tourism because it will be possible to do it, it will have many times the income it has today.

By 2030 the power of our tourism industry will multiply and the paying capacity of the tourism industry for its employees will multiply, this is little but certain.
